Inspired by live TV footage, Paul captures the explosive energy of sprint finishes—moments where riders jostle, converge, and blur into a mass of motion and determination. The riders' forms jigsaw together in the chaos and speed of the race’s climax. Working from stills, his paintings evolve into dynamic abstractions, exploring the tension, speed, and fleeting chaos at the heart of elite cycling.
